WingTones - Privacy Policy

WingTones (“we”, “us”) is a Cantonese and Mandarin pronunciation-training service operated by
CSK Finance B.V., Nannie van Wehlstraat 3, 2548 MN, The Hague,
the Netherlands (KvK 93829329). This policy explains what data we process and why.

What we collect
- Account information - if you sign in, your email address (and name
where provided) via Google sign-in or an email “magic link”. You can use the free tier
without an account.
- Microphone audio - when you tap record, your device microphone is
used to analyse your pitch. Audio is processed to compute your tone contour and is
not stored or retained by us, and is never used for any purpose other
than giving you immediate feedback. (Most analysis happens on-device; some is sent to
our server only to be analysed and is then discarded.)
- Practice data - your scores, streak and review schedule are stored
locally on your device (browser/app storage).
- Subscription status - if you purchase Pro, our payment providers
tell us whether you have an active entitlement. We do not
receive or store your card details.
- Basic technical data - standard server logs (e.g. IP address, time,
request) needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the trainer: analyse your pronunciation and show feedback.
- To sign you in and (if you subscribe) unlock Pro content.
- To operate, secure and improve the service.
Service providers we use
- RevenueCat and Stripe - subscription management and
payment processing.
- Cloudflare R2 - delivery of audio files.
- Google - optional sign-in; Resend - sending
sign-in emails.
- mijn.host - hosting.
These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for payments;
each has its own privacy policy.
Microphone permission
The app requests microphone access only to capture your speech for pitch analysis while
you are recording. We do not record in the background and do not keep your audio.
Data retention
Audio is processed transiently and not retained. Account email is kept while your
account exists. Local practice data stays on your device until you clear it.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA/UK, you have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal
data and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise them, or to delete your account,
contact hello@wing.tools.
Children
WingTones is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their
data.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change. Material changes will be
noted in the app or on the site.
